‘Who’s Working In the Interest Of White Americans?’: White Nationalist Flyers Found Around Wisconsin
It appears that despite electing for the second time arguably the most white nationalism-friendly president in modern history, white supremacists are still very angry and aggrieved. They’re so angry, in fact, that anonymous racists have been going around the Milwaukee area of Wisconsin to leave white supremacy love letters to residents about mass deportations and preserving white power.
From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
Racist political flyers targeting immigrant communities were discovered Thursday morning near a southside Milwaukee park.
Alds. Marina Dimitrijevic and Scott Spiker said in a statement Friday that flyers were found near Ohio Playfield, Zablocki Elementary School and Morgandale Elementary School.
“A community member was walking their dog and found baggies with an unknown substance and flyers inside,” police said. “During the investigation, it was determined other community members had also found similar baggies.”
Dimitrijevic said several versions exist of the flyers, one of which has circulated in a neighborhood group online. “MASS DEPORTATION NOTICE,” a flyer is titled. The flyer then calls for undocumented immigrants to vacate the U.S. or be forcibly removed upon the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump on Jan. 20.
The Morgandale neighborhood is about 50% Latino and is also home to a growing Burmese Rohingya community.
“This was a targeted area,” Dimitrijevic said.
“Clearly someone with a terrible intent, racist intent, a hateful intent, spread these carefully in a certain area at a certain time and it almost felt like it was right before school and people were kind of getting moving,” she added. “It’s pretty painful to get these types of phone calls.”
Another flyer calls for “white power unity” and offers a phone number to call to report undocumented neighbors, Dimitrijevic said.
But there was one flyer in particular that is worth highlighting as it pretty much encapsulates the absurdity of white conservatives’ irrational persecution complex.
“Who’s working in the interest of white Americans?” the message asks.
It’s amazing, isn’t it? For at least the last four years, red states across the nation have been moving to ban critical race theory, non-whitewashed Black history, DEI and the ubiquitous thing white people call “wokeness” into oblivion for no other reason than to assuage white fragility. Donald Trump, the president-elect, has promised to fight fictitious anti-white racism while consistently denying the existence of real and demonstrable anti-Black racism. Republican lawmakers across the country engaged in the practice of rearranging their states’ voting maps in an intentional effort to dilute Black voting power, which probably helped Trump get reelected. Black people can’t even set up and fund grant programs for other Black people without whiny white people shutting them down because they feel excluded. Republican elected officials have promoted the white nationalist-inspired Great Replacement Theory. Book bans in schools and libraries can happen at the whim of a single white parent who complains about “woke indoctrination” at a school board meeting. Even white students at predominately white schools in predominantly white states have white officials promising to ensure white students don’t feel oppressed.
Who’s working in the interest of white Americans? Bruh, AMERICA IS, as it always has.
Hell, these flyers were circulating around Wisconsin, a state that is 86.6% white in a country that is more than 70% white and where white people represent at least 77% of Congress and the majority in every single state legislature regardless of the state’s population.
If white people are oppressed, who’s doing the oppression?
Anyway, according to Dimitrijevic, “The FBI is involved,” and the flyers, which were mostly found in parts of Milwaukee County, are “still under investigation.” But it seems no amount of investigating will get us closer to the bottom of the core issue:
White people are irrationally mad, and, apparently, that won’t change no matter who is in the White House.
