‘Whites Against Replacement’: Latest Hateful March In Nashville Amplified Racist Theory
For the second week in a row, perpetually aggrieved members of a white nationalist organization marched through the streets of downtown Nashville whining about being replaced by brown people and claiming diversity initiatives in America are aimed at excluding and diminishing the white race.
According to local Nashville news station WPLN, the organization is called the Goyim Defense League, which is described by the Anti-Defamation League as a network of antisemites and white supremacists who are best known for their “antisemitic stunts and schemes to troll or otherwise harass Jewish people,” which would explain why the protesters were chanting “Sieg Heil,” a German phrase adopted by the Nazi Party that translates to “Hail Victory,” which members of the group of whiny whities, Patriot Front, were chanting in Nashville the previous weekend.

But the GDL members took things a step further, wearing t-shirts that read “Whites Against Replacement” (WAR) and handing out flyers that read, “Diversity means fewer white people. Inclusion means exclusion of white people. Equity means stealing from white people.”

Clearly these Klan-ish white men are adherents of the “Great Replacement Theory,” a popular conservative theory that insists immigrants are being brought into the country in an intentional effort to replace white people, begging the question: Where are white people going?
Even if it were true that non-white immigrants were being transported here, it wouldn’t explain how they’re replacing white people, unless white people are also planning to leave in massive numbers. Are white conservatives afraid that their fellow Caucasians are going to start taking their own advice and “leave” America if they don’t like it here? Are they afraid of white people being replaced as the majority race, and if so, does that not indicate that they realize how poorly minorities have been treated in America?
Anyway, the GDL members were clearly referencing DEI in their flyers, and besides the illogical view that “diversity means fewer white people,” they have also decided that “inclusion means exclusion of white people,” which is ironic considering DEI initiatives were only ever necessary in the first place due to the exclusion of non-white people throughout the overwhelming majority of American history. And, of course, the descendants of colonizers and land and resource thieves crying that “equity means stealing from white people” is just plain laughable.
Curiously enough, Tennessee’s Republican governor, Bill Lee, addressed the latest white supremacist march in Nashville Monday, but he only seemed to focus on the antisemitism, not specifically the racist rhetoric espoused by fragile white people who are clearly afraid to death that white power is being eroded in order for Black and brown people to thrive.
“I think we’ve seen anti-Semitism rise up all across this country, unfortunately and sadly,” Lee said. “We should stand against it at every time and every place.”
Perhaps the anti-DEI and anti-immigration aspects of the demonstration were left out because of how deeply Republicans share those same views. Go figure.
