Mike Tyson I thought that was a cute slap buddy but tomorrow you’re getting knocked the F*ck out! I’m f*cking him up Ariel! I’m f*cking him up! He hits like a b*tch! It’s personal now, it’s personal now, HE MUST DIIIIE!

This unexpected altercation has heightened anticipation for their showdown as you would expect the two to do.

Why did Mike Tyson slap Jake Paul?

According to a report from USA Today, Tyson, 58, slapped Paul, 27, because the legendary boxer said his foot was stepped on.

More from USA Today:

Video appears to show Paul briefly stepping on the front of Tyson’s right foot and quickly moving his foot back at the weigh-in for their Friday fight at AT&T Stadium. Tyson then slapped Paul across the face with his right hand and pointed toward the ground before the two men were pulled apart.

“Jake stepped on Mike’s foot, that prompted the reaction,’’ Tom Patti, one of Tyson’s longtime friends, told USA TODAY Sports by text message. “I was there and Mike just told me.’’

The real reason they were there Thursday was because of the weigh-in, so if you were curious about that, Mike Tyson weighed in at 228.4 pounds and Jake Paul weighed in at 227.2 pounds.

Rules For The Fight.

  • Each round will last for two minutes, which is less than the standard three minutes you typically see in professional boxing.
  • The pair will only fight for eight rounds, instead of the usual 12.
  • Both boxers will use heavier 14-ounce gloves instead of 10-ounce ones. A heavier glove means that more shock will be absorbed by the glove’s padding, instead of the fist and point of contact on the opposition fighter.
  • Neither Tyson nor Paul will be wearing headgear during the bout
  • There will be the standard three judges at ringside who will score each round (should no knockout occur).

These rules have been approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.

When Is The Fight?

The event is scheduled to take place Friday night (11/15) at 8 PM ET on Netflix, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the outcome.
