Elon Musk’s Pro-Trump PAC Repeatedly Calls Kamala Harris The ‘C-Word’ — This Is How Low We’ve Sunk

In the world of politics, we talk a lot about which voter demographics trend toward whom, and the discussion often revolves around Black and Latino people and women. But maybe it’s time we started to examine another voter bloc that is one of the most dominant and yet the least scrutinized:

What about the white boy vote?

You know: the white boys and their White Boy Summers. The dude-bros whose favorite hobbies include online trolling, d**k pics, and pretending the bartender is flirting with them just because she smiled at them while asking, “Cash or charge?” Who is courting the vote of the young, vibrant white male who longs for the day when they can tell a random woman which body parts of hers are blossoming the best without a mob of lefty loonies accusing them of predatory behavior? Somebody has to look out for the Caucasian man’s man who believes a woman’s place is in the kitchen and bearing children, not doing absurd things like entering the workforce, getting advanced degrees, starting a business, or having the ma’am-dacity to become the next president of the United States.

Obviously, Donald Trump — the former p****y-grabber-in-chief who tosses hush money at sex workers like singles at the strip club — has this voter bloc on lock. Trump doesn’t need help with the white boy vote, but if he did, he’d be fortunate to have in his corner the pale, luminescent white boy billionaire himself, Elon Musk, who has proven, once again, that he can not come up with an attack on Kamala Harris that isn’t dripping with misogynoir and white male insecurity.

From the Associated Press:

Elon Musk’s political action committee created an ad attacking Vice President Kamala Harris that includes multiple references to a vulgarity often used to demean women as well as calling her a communist.

In a 35 second video dated Oct. 25 and posted on Musk’s X platform, a narrator begins with a warning that the message “contains multiple instances of the c-word.”

Calling Harris “a big ole c-word,” a narrator describes the Democratic presidential nominee as a “tax-hiking, regulation-loving, gun-grabbing communist,” over images of her, as well as an illustration of a cat in a Soviet-style military uniform.

The post does not appear in the PAC’s X feed but was still visible Tuesday morning via a search on the platform.

So, Musk, the billionaire tech industry tycoon (or buffoon, depending on who you ask), is resorting to the most juvenile form of sexism in his PAC’s ad campaign against Harris. Well, that’s far from shocking, but it does show how far American politics has declined since MAGA entered the chat. We’ve sunk so low that it’s normal for a public figure to repeatedly call a woman of color who is close to becoming the nation’s first woman president the c-word like it’s just another Tuesday.

Hell, even MAGA comedian Tony Hinchcliffe who made headlines after reminding us that conservatives are not good at comedy by performing a racist during a Trump rally at Madison Square Garden — was reportedly barred from using the c-word during his set. (I mean, the venue was apparently good with Hinchcliffe calling Peurto Rico a “floating island of garbage,” saying he and his “only” Black friend carved “watermelons” together for Halloween, and saying, and saying Latinos “love making babies,” hate “pulling out” and “come inside, just like they did to our country” — but calling a woman a “c*nt” was too far, amirite?)

Again, Musk doesn’t need to work to help Trump attract mediocre white men who resent powerful and accomplished Black women but can’t explain why so they just call them their favorite four-letter word — but here we are.

Sad.
