Buying From A Black Woman Extends H&M Partnership For 2024 Retail Tour
Shoppers rejoice! Buy From A Black Woman (BFABW) is extending its partnership with H&M USA for a 2024 Inspire retail tour.
The nonprofit BFABW works to bring awareness to Black women business owners.
H&M shared the exciting news on March 8, International Women’s Day, also hosting its fourth annual International Black Women’s Day Event. There, BFABW’s founder Nikki Porcher and H&M’s regional head of inclusion and diversity, Donna Dozier Gordon, spoke of their continued support and further upliftment of the nonprofit’s mission.
Now entering the partnership’s fourth year, H&M will continue its efforts and direct programming that promotes economic growth of Black women entrepreneurs. Since 2021, the Sweden-based company has assisted in developing BFABW’s Inspire Tours and Holiday Market, as well as its Black Women in Business Accelerator program.
Porcher spoke of H&M’s dedication to their cause, which also included a $250,000 donation in 2022.
“It takes more than just saying ‘support Black Women Business Owners’ to support Black Women Business Owners,” shared Porcher in a press release for its initial launch. “H&M USA is a true example of what it looks when a company uses its resources to pour into a community. I am excited to partner with H&M USA and travel the country to bring light to all the Black Women Business Owners who feel unseen. With this partnership I’ll be able to make the room larger for more Black Women to move in.”
This year’s BFABW Inspire Tour will travel to international cities to expand audiences and customers. More information on the ongoing partnership can be found on A Black Woman’s Podcast, where Porcher speaks on H&M’s commitment to ensuring Black women business owners thrive.
