Beyoncé Makes Black History During Big Night At 2025 Grammy Awards
Beyoncé won big at the 2025 Grammy Awards, Sunday night. Her album “Cowboy Carter” won the coveted ‘Album of The Year’ and best ‘Country Album’ nods. It was Queen Bey’s night as she beat out artists like Post Malone, Charlie XCX, and Taylor Swift for the distinctions.
“Cowboy Carter” Grammy – ‘Best Country Album’
Bey’s first stage appearance came when she accepted her country genre win.
“I was not expecting this,” Beyoncé said accepting the coveted trophy. “I want to thank God that I’m able to still do what I love after so many years, oh, my God! I’d like to thank all of the incredible country artists that accepted this, this album we worked so hard on… I think sometimes genre is a cold word to keep us in our place as artists, and just want to encourage people to do what they’re passionate about. And to stay persistent.”
The award made Beyoncé the first Black woman to win a Grammy in the Best Country Album category, according to Billboard.
Taylor Swift, who won the same honor 15 years ago, presented the golden gramophone to Beyoncé. The Houston native was in total shock. She arrived just moments before the award was announced. Sneaking into her seat in the front row was hard given her flowing platinum blonde buss down and custom Schiaparelli gown. Blue Ivy and Jay Z were by her side.
Earlier in the day, Bey took home a Grammy for best country duo/group performance for her song “II Most Wanted” featuring Miley Cyrus.
The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer is currently trending for her genuine and shocked reaction.
The win comes on the heels of Beyoncé announcing the ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour.
Beyonce accepts the ‘Album of The Year’ Award from LA’s Finest Firefighters
Later in the night, Beyoncé returned to the stage once again to receive the coveted album of the year award. The Bey Hive wondered if she would take home the award – and deep in the program they were rewarded.
There to present one of the most debated and highly coveted Grammys was Los Angeles’ finest firefighters who received a standing ovation as they spoke on stage. The “16 Carriages” singer thanked LA’s rescue workers and gracefully accepted the award.
“I’d like to thank and acknowledge and praise all of the firefighters for keeping us safe,” Bey said on stage with Blue Ivy by her side. “I just feel very full and very honored. It’s been many, many years.”
