Reports emerged alleging that between 2008 and 2012, Robinson made offensive comments on a website, including self-identifying as a “black Nazi” and expressing admiration for Hitler. Robinson denied these allegations, attributing them to a smear campaign. Despite his denials, the controversy may have influenced voter perceptions during the election.

The election results showed 58.8% for Stein and 37.8% for his opponent, Republican Mark Robinson according to NBC News.
